Joseph D. Sherman

Joseph Sherman is a client-focused attorney with over eight years of diverse civil litigation experience. He is known for his honest, thorough approach to advocating for his clients while resolving issues in a straightforward and cost-effective manner.

Before joining Tanowitz Law Office, PC in 2023, Joseph gained experience in civil litigation through his work with firms in Boston and Chestnut Hill. He concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate disputes, construction, landlord/tenant issues, condominium disputes, and family law.

As a Boston native, Joseph has a deep understanding and appreciation for the laws and values of the Commonwealth. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Yeshiva University in New York City before attending Suffolk University Law School in Boston. While there, Joseph worked as a student attorney in the Family Advocacy Clinic and served as a judicial intern in the Middlesex Probate & Family Court.

Joseph is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association, and he is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Federal District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Tax Court. He also volunteers his time handling pro-bono cases through the Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association.
